The boat for gay boys and girls between 11 and 16 years of age, that is to take part in the Amsterdam gay pride canal parade, will be allowed after all.
This became clear after talks between the mayor Job Cohen and the chairman of the COC (one of the organizing parties of the gay pride tour).
Parents of some of the children will also be on the boat, so the mayor has given up his resistance against the boat for minors.
The boat will take part in the yearly Canal Parade, Amsterdams gay pride tour through the Prinsengracht canal on the first Saturday in August.
The boat is an initiave of 14-year old Danny Hoekzema (see also our previous article).
