Weather problems in Amsterdam practically over

Yesterday's problems because of the snowfall in and around Amsterdam are almost over.

The traffic jams around Amsterdam, yesterday evening, lasted until well after midnight. Last night, traffic on the highways around Amsterdam was completely stuck.

This morning, the GVB (Amsterdam public transport) experienced hardly any problems.

Traffic around Amsterdam is almost back to normal, although one highway (the A9 to Alkmaar) is still stuck at some places.

Train services are back to normal in most places, though on some lines there can be delays or less trains than normal.

The problems on Schiphol Airport are also over.

The cold weather will continue, so weather problems may arise again in the next few days.
