Strikes may be continued during Sail 2005 in Amsterdam

The unions have announced that the strikes by city civil servants may be continued in a more serious form, such as 24 or 48 hours during large events, such as Sail 2005.

Sail 2005 takes place in Amsterdam from August 17 to 22, and will attract hundreds of thousands of visitors.
A public transport strike could cause rather serious problems during the event.

The strike is not at all certain yet, and if more news becomes available we will publish it here.
