Reguliersdwarsstraat becomes pedestrian zone

Also in the summer of 2006, Reguliersdwarsstraat will (partly) become a pedestrian street.

The street is well-known for its bars, restaurants and clubs, quite a few of which are gay venues.
Until a few years ago, during the summer months the streets would be crowded with visitors, people having dinner outside, etc.
In the past few years the street has been partially blocked off for cars, during the weekends.
Because this was successful, the city has decided that this will become structural.

This summer the street will partiall closed for cars from May 27 to October 1, Monday to Saturday from 7pm to 7am, and on Sundays from 6pm to 7am.
