Dancing around the clock in Amsterdam

Amsterdam has started to issue licences for 24-hour clubbing and dancing.

A maximum of 5 venues will be allowed to be open 24 hours, and of these 5, there will be a maximum of 3 dance clubs.

These 3 dance clubs are:
- Trouw Amsterdam (http://www.trouwamsterdam.nl)
- Tolhuistuin (http://www.tolhuistuin.nl)
- Twenty4Amsterdam (a club to be set up in the former Shell Tower at Overhoeks in Amsterdam North, next to the EYE Filminstituut)

The other two locations are the ('non dancing') venues at the Westergasfabriek area in Westerpark, and the event location 'De Overkant' in Amsterdam North.

Amsterdam will eventually allow 10 venues to be open 24 hours. The next 5 licences will be issued later.
