Today the open air theatre in the Vondelpark in Amsterdam has opened.
The opening performance was by Freek de Jonge, a famous Dutch comedian.
The theatre is in the middle of the park, and entrance is free to all performances. As tradition requires, the theatre will have a large range of performances, throughout the summer.
There is going to be a pattern in the programming:
Wednesday: youth theatre
Thursday evening: classical music
Friday: dance
Saturday afternoon: workshops
Saturday evening: comedy shows and popular music
Sunday: various kinds of music and comedy
The last performance will be on August 28 and all shows are for free.
The program is on the website (in Dutch, but you should be able to figure it out).
