Victoria Amazonica flowers this evening in Amsterdam Hortus Botanicus

The famous water lily Victoria Amazonica flowers this evening, in the Amsterdam Hortus Botanicus.

For the occasion, the botanical garden is open from 7 to 11 pm. The Hortus only knows the afternoon before when the Victoria will flower, and not always is it possible to open the garden in the evening.
But this year, it is possible, and you can have a look.

The Victoria is a very large flower, and is sometimes called the Queen of water lilies.
