Last night, a tourist did not survive his jump into the water near the taxi stand at the Central Station in Amsterdam.
The police suspect that he was under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Passers-by called an ambulance and the fire brigade. They tried to resuscitate the man, but he died in the hospital.
The nationality of the man is not clear. The police are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
