Tomorrow SAIL Crew Parade in Amsterdam

One of the side events of SAIL Amsterdam is the Crew Parade. About a thousand sailors of the tall ships will take part.

In the 2010 edition of SAIL there was also a Crew Parade. All tall ship crew members put on their nicest uniforms, and go in a parade through Amsterdam.
The parade is intended to say 'Thank you' to Amsterdam for its hospitality for the ships.

The parade will have some thousand participants and will be accompanied by various music bands (i.a. from the Dutch Navy and the Dutch Customs).

This time, the route will end on Dam Square. There, the Mayor of Amsterdam, Mr Eberhard van der Laan will welcome the sailors.

The parade will be tomorrow (Friday August 21).
It will start at 3pm and arrive on Dam Square around 4.30pm.
The start is at the corner of Kattenburgerstraat and Piet Heinkade.
