This weekend is the weekend of the traditional Hearts' Days.
On Saturday August 15, one of the highlights is the OPERA-Am event. Starting at 3 pm, there will be several opera pieces sung from several windows along Zeedijk (the street that runs between Central Station and Nieuwmarkt Square).
On Sunday August 16, the highlight of the day will be the Hartjesparade, where men will dress as women, and women as men. The crossdress parade will be followed by the 'Little Heart of the Zeedijk 2008' and 'Little Heart Queen of the Zeedijk 2008' election. These will take place at De Nieuwmarkt, 5pm.
At the Nieuwmarkt there's also a stage with several performances till 9 pm.
Especially Sunday will be a busy day on Zeedijk and Nieuwmarkt Square.
