Tax free shops Schiphol Amsterdam airport target of credit card fraud

Three Malaysians have been arrested on Schiphol airport in Amsterdam, on suspicion of credit card fraud.

The 3 men bought luxury items at taxfree shops on the airport, worth possibly hundreds of thousands of Euros.

The police were alerted by a staff member of one of the duty free shops. One of the men had bought a large amount of jewellery and exclusive watches in a very short time, which caused suspicion.

The men have probably been active for some time. Apart from dozens of false credit cards, the men also had 9 flight tickets. These were used to quickly go to another airport after having done their shopping.
