Rotterdam film festival gets summer edition in Amsterdam

The International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) gets a summer edition in Amsterdam this year.

The summer edition will be part of the Holland Festival (June 2 to 25).

Some of the latest movies will be shown (i.a. in the Westergasfabriek theatre and the Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ). There will also be a programme around the British filmmakers Stephen en Timothy Quay.

The IFFR in Rotterdam is the biggest film festival in the Netherlands, and one of the biggest in Europe, still growing every year. The 35th edition is from January 25 to February 5.
The event features 53 world premieres, 19 international premieres and 20 European premieres of feature length movies. Rotterdam expects about 370 filmmakers during the event.
The ticket sale starts today (Saturday January 21).
