In a reaction to the decision of the Oud Zuid authorities that the main entrance of the new Rijksmuseum building can not be inside the arch of the building, the Rijksmuseum organizes an open day on Tuesday March 15 (between 1 and 6 pm).
On this day the Rijksmuseum will show what the arch will look like if its plans are carried out, and how much space there will be left for cyclists and pedestrians.
The Rijksmuseum wants the new entrance inside the passage way, because it wants an entry with 'international standing'.
With the open day, the Rijksmuseum wants to prove that there will be enough space left for cyclists and pedestrians.
The passage way will be open between 1 and 6 pm.
