Two statues of the statue group depicting the Nightwatch, which stands on Rembrandtplein square, have been damaged.
It is the second time this year that the statues were damaged. The first time was in July of this year.
The police have arrested 2 men, 26 and 30 years, who admitted they damaged the statues when they were drunk. The extent of the damage is unknown.
The statue group was placed on Rembrandtplein because of the Rembrandt 400 year, celebrating Rembrandt's 400th birthday.
