Rabbits increasingly a plague in Amsterdam

While the rabbit population is decreasing in the rest of the Netherlands, the number of rabbits in Amsterdam has increased dramatically.

The churchyard Sint Barbara in Amsterdam West complains that the rabbits eat the flowers and plants that are placed by the graves. Since shooting the animals is illegal, this is not an option.

The animals prospers especially in suburban areas, parks and along the ring road A10 around Amsterdam.
