During the morning rush hour, until 8.30am, there may be a strike by the public transport companies in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and The Hague.
The strike is contested in court, and the court case will serve tomorrow, on Tuesday.
If the strike happens, there will be no buses, trams or metros in Amsterdam on Wednesday October 7, until 8.30 am. Train services (also the train from Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam) will not be affected.
The reason for the strike is a protest of the plan to raise the general retirement age for all workers from 65 to 67. The government says the state pensions, to which everyone is entitled after the age of 65, will become unaffordable if the retirement age is not raised.
