The open air film festival to be held during the Gay Pride on the Nieuwmarkt Square has been cancelled.
The cancellation is due to lack of funding.

The organization of Gay Pride has managed to invite a Latvian delegation to the Amsterdam Gay Pride. Latvia had been in the news, because the gay pride had been prohibited in Riga (the capital). A meeting by a gay organization, also attended by several European politicians, amongst which the Amsterdam vice-mayor, was attacked by an angry mob. The City of Amsterdam wants to invite Latvian politicians to Amsterdam Gay Pride next year.
