The construction work place that was to be built in front of the Royal Palace, will be placed elsewhere after protests.
The Royal Palace will be closed down for major maintenance and redecoration for a few years.
Shop owners and the Amsterdam Tourist Board had protested against the construction that was to be built in front of the palace, on Dam Square, as the most famous square of the Netherlands would be defaced for 3 years.
The worker restaurants and other facilities will now be placed on the side and at the back of the palace.
