Minimum of 10 parking tickets per day

The department of the city of Amsterdam that maintains the parking laws (Stadstoezicht) appears to impose a minimum of 10 parking fines and 8 wheel clamps on its employees.

This was written in an internal personnel magazine of the department. The rule causes unrest amongst the employees, as they are uncertain about whether they will be held accountable for the 'production figures'.

According to Stadstoezicht the employees will not be held accountable, but if they don't reach the target figures, 'we will ask why this is the case'.

The parking laws in Amsterdam are strictly enforced, the department has the reputation of being the only city department that makes a profit.
