Today the famous Keukenhof flower show park opens its doors to the public.
Yesterday, the official opening was performed by HRH Princess Margriet.
It will be open from today until May 20.
The flower park attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world every year. The park is a show case for the Dutch flower growing industry, intended to show the finest examples of tulips, .
The Keukenhof is located in the bulb-growing area between Amsterdam and The Hague. In and around the town of Lisse, the route to the Keukenhof is clearly signposted everywhere. You will find the Keukenhof at Stationsweg 166a in Lisse.
Going there yourself by public transport:
Take the train from Central Station to Leiden (half hour train ride).
From Leiden Central Station you can take bus 54 to stop 'Keukenhof' in Lisse (also half hour).
From there it is a few minutes' walk.
From Amsterdam, many companies organize excursions to the Keukenhof.
