The yearly Grachtenfestival (Canal Festival) will again grow larger. This year the concerts will also be held around the IJ, the water behind the Central Station.
As the locations in and around the IJ are included, more concerts will be given.
The festival is to be held from August 12 to 20 (4 days longer than last year). This year will be the 9th edition.
The festival consists of a series of classical music concerts, which are held on special or remarkable locations.
The (free) floating concert in the Prinsengracht canal, near the Westerkerk church is the most famous of these concerts.
