EYE Filminstituut

EYE Filminstituut

Located in a remarkable, white building on the North shore of the IJ river, which is at the back of the Central Station.
The institute preserves and collects old films, and also shows them.
It also shows modern films, usually the less commercial movies.

The restaurant has a beautiful view over the IJ river, and is probably the most popular part of the museum.

To get there: take the (free) pedestrian/cyclist ferry called 'Buiksloterwegveer' at the back of the Central Station. This takes just a few minutes to cross the IJ river.
At the other side, you walk a few minutes to the left.
This ferry goes day and night.
