Deserted tram and bus stops in Amsterdam because of strike

The tram and bus stops in Amsterdam remain empty today, as most people seem well informed about the public transport strike that is going on today.

In the city of Amsterdam there are no buses, trams, metros or ferries, because of a strike by city civil servants.
The strike will last until midnight.

Many other civil servants are on strike too (medical personnel, fire brigade, city hall, etc.), and also in Utrecht and Rotterdam they strike.

If the unions decide the effect on the negotations is not enough, they threaten they will continue strikes after the summer.
