On November 2 the assassination of Theo van Gogh will be commemorated at the place where he was killed, 1 year ago.
The ceremony will take place between 8.30 and 9am, on Linnaeusstraat near the Oosterpark in Amsterdam east, the location of the murder.
The prime-minister (Jan-Peter Balkenende) and mayor Job Cohen will be present. At the place of the murder flowers will be laid.
In the afternoon there is a debate in hotel Arena, and many other debates and discussions will be organized by many organizations throughout Amsterdam.
