The traditional Christmas tree has been placed on Dam Square.
The last few years there were several problems with the tree: it was either too small or too ugly, or it would fall.
This year's tree did not go without problems either; originally, an 18 meter tree was to be transported from Belgium, but the tree turned out to be too big for transportation.
The tree that is now on Dam Square stands 13 meters tall, is 45 years old and is from Denmark. The first reactions on the tree from the public are positive.
