Schiphol Amsterdam Airport is the first airport in the world to have its own permanent library.
The library is intended for passengers who have to wait for a flight. The library can be found on the Holland Boulevard, on the airport.
Passengers can read books and magazines in the library, or listen to music. It is not possible to borrow books. Books can be read on iPads.
In the library are works about Dutch literature, art, architecture, photography etc, translated into 29 different languages. The airport library is part of the Holland Boulevard. This boulevard is also intended to induce transfer passengers, who only are on Schiphol to transfer from one flight to another, to visit the Netherlands.
The Airport Library is open 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.
