The OLVG Hospital in Amsterdam East has been voted the best hospital of the Netherlands.
The vote was carried out by Elsevier Magazine, and held under nurses, general practitioners and specialists.
The reasons give were the 'very good medical expertise', 'a top department of cardiology' and the well-functioning operating theatres and intensive care units. Also the way in which patients are treated and the ease with which they can make appointments was mentioned as one of the positive aspects.
