Amsterdam All in 1 Travel ticket for tram, bus, metro and train

Starting July 23 there is a convenient ticket for tourists available that combines admission to tram, bus, metro in Amsterdam, AND the train to the airport.

The ticket is a test, and is a cooperation between the GVB (the Amsterdam public transport authority) and NS (the Dutch Railways).

The 'Amsterdam All in 1 Travel Ticket':

- contains a return train ticket between Schiphol Airport and Amsterdam Central Station
- covers all trams, buses, night buses and metro lines in Amsterdam
- is only for sale at the Holland Tourist Information desk on Schiphol Airport (across from Arrival Hall 2, open daily from 7am to 10pm)
- the ticket will be for sale from July 23 to October 31 2008.

You can choose between tickets of:
- 24 hours: € 12,95
- 48 hours: € 17,00
- 72 hours: € 19,70
- 96 hours: € 22,40

The new combined ticket is slightly cheaper than buying the tickets separately, and very convenient for visitors to Amsterdam who arrive at and leave from Schiphol Airport.

If you don't travel by plane, the GVB also has easy to use travel cards for 1 to 4 days, without the Schiphol return ticket (see here for more info).
