Zaans Museum

Zaans Museum

The Zaans Museum is the largest museum on the Zaanse Schans, housed in a modern, large building.

The museum has an interesting collection about the history and culture of the Zaanstreek (Zaan area), once a prosperous area just North of Amsterdam.
The museum has objects relating to daily life (traditional clothes, furniture, etc), but also an industrial heritage collection.

In the museum is also the Verkade Paviljoen. Verkade is a well-known old Dutch brand of waxines, chocolate and biscuits. This pavillion houses the company archives.
