This memorial marks the crash on September 29, 1941, of a Vickers Wellington bomber plane, on its way back to Britain after the bombing of Genua, Italy.
The memorial is made of parts of the plane that were found in the fields in Landsmeer.
As the memorial is located along a bicycle path, it can only be reached on foot or by bike.
One way of finding it is taking the long-distance bicycle route LF7.
