Haven is the main street to see in Volendam. Haven (means 'harbour' in Dutch) is located along the water. From here, the fishery boats of the Volendam fleet left for their fishing trips. The Volendam boats are still to be recognized by the abbreviation 'VD' in the name.
Haven is lined with old (wooden) houses.
It is extremely touristy. All shops cater for visitors - you can buy food, or gifts in souvenir shops.
