Today is the traditional main event of the Grachten Festival: the open-air concert in the Prinsengracht, near the Pulitzer hotel.
On a floating pontoon in the canal, the Georgian violonist Lisa Batiashvili and her husband the French hobo player François Leleux will perform.
They will play works of Johann Sebastian Bach, Piazzolla and the Georgian composer Tsintsadze.
The open-air is the traditional (and very popular) main event of the yearly Grachten Festival. The festival stages a lot of classical concerts, at locations that are mainly in the canal district.
The concert starts at 8 pm, in front of the Pulitzer Hotel. This is at Prinsengracht, between Rozengracht and Reestraat.
Try to be early to secure a good place!
