The Tolhuistuin is a small park with an outdoor cafe (where you can sit under the trees), and some stages for all kinds of performances.
In the adjacent pavillion is a restaurant and dance floor.
The area used to be owned by the Shell company, but is now a cultural hotspot for at least a few years.
Tolhuistuin is open in the outdoor season, closed in winter.
The garden is accessible from the North side.
Tolhuistuin now also runs the cafe/restaurant, which is accessible from the South side. It has an attractive outdoor seating area, with a view of the IJ river.
The building also includes some halls for music/art performances.
