A large police check of taxis at the Central Station of Amsterdam has resulted in 122 fines, orders and reports.
Twenty six vehicles had technical flaws, and 3 drivers lost their driver's licence.
Because of the police check the taxi stand near the station became very quiet, and other taxis had to be directed to the taxi stand to continue the check.
The check is intended to raise the quality level of the taxi market in Amsterdam, which has deteriorated since the liberalization a few years ago.
