Schiphol: cheap travellers, cheap treatment

Schiphol Amsterdam airport will create a new gate, especially for low budget flights.

The new gate (H gate) will not connect the planes with a special covered corridor, so that passengers will have to walk from the plane to the airport building in the open air.
This is faster and cheaper, which makes it suitable for low airfare carriers, such as Easyjet and RyanAir.

Also, the new gate will have no restaurants, shops or toilets.

Construction of the new gate starts next week.
