Rembrandt 400 year also opened in Amsterdam

Today the Rembrandt 400 year was officially opened in Amsterdam, by unveiling the statue group that together form the 'Nightwatch' (the Nachtwacht), the famous painting by Rembrandt.

The statue group is located at the Rembrandtplein square, next to the statue of Rembrandt himself.

Most activities of the Rembrandt year take place in Amsterdam, but some in other places, particularly in Leiden. See our Rembrandt page for more information.
