Re-opening of Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam again postponed

The re-opening of the Stedelijk Museum, which was scheduled for the end of 2011, will be postponed.

A new date has not been scheduled.

The Stedelijk, Amsterdams modern art museum, is undergoing renovation, but the building company went bankrupt a few weeks ago. Since then, it has been unclear who will finish the renovation.

The museum has been closed since 1 January 2004. The re-opening has been postponed several times.

The museum is occasionally temporarily open for exhibitions, in the old part of the museum that is already renovated.
