The police has reported far less incidents at Queensday in Amsterdam this year.
About 700,000 people visited Amsterdam, which is about 100,000 less than last year.
The Mayor and the police had attempted to reduce the number of 'incidents' (often caused by alcohol and/or drug abuse). Alcohol sale was limited in the city centre, and large parties were only allowed outside the centre.
About 200,000 people went to Amsteram by train. An alcohol prohibition in the trains and the train stations was in effect during the day.
The police reported 175 incidents today, far less than the almost 700 in 2011.
