This morning, Queen Beatrix paid a surprise visit to the Albert Cuyp Market.
The visit took place on the occassion of the 100 year anniversary of the most famous street market of the Netherlands.
The Queen bought some hand-made children's clothes for her grand-children.
The Albert Cuyp market is located in neighbourhood 'de Pijp', just South of the centre, along the entire Albert Cuyp street, between Van Woustraat and Ferdinand Bolstraat.
On the market you can buy groceries, clothes and many other household articles.
