Public transport strike in Amsterdam, Wednesday June 29

Amsterdam will again be hit by a public transport strike, this time on Wednesday June 29.

The strike is will be between the morning and the evening rush hour. During the time the buses, trams and metros are in service, they will be for free.

The GVB (the Amsterdam municipal transport company), opposes the strike, and has announced it will take the unions to court about it.

The strike will only affect the public transport in Amsterdam (buses, trams and metro), run by the GVB.
Trains are not on strike, so the trains between Schiphol Airport and Amsterdam Central Station will function normally.
Regional buses to and from Amsterdam are also not affected.
