President Obama visits Amsterdam on March 24

President Barack Obama of the United States will visit Amsterdam on March 24.

The visit takes place just before the Nuclear Security Summit that will be held on March 24 and 25 in The Hague.
Many government leaders from all over the world will attend the summit, leading to many security measures in and around The Hague.

Visitors to Amsterdam may experience some relatively minor hindrance from the summit in The Hague. As President Obama visits Amsterdam, it is expected that security measures will be in place around his visit.

Obama will meet the Dutch Prime Minister Marc Rutte, but otherwise not much is known yet about the programme of the visit. One rumour is that Obama will visit the Rijksmuseum. This museum is located at the Museumplein, which is also the location of the US Consulate.
