The museum in Amsterdam closed down, and the collection moved to Hilversum. It does no longer exist by itself.

The Persmuseum (Press Museum) has an impresive collection of magazines and newspapers, from 1600. It also collects posters, political drawings and commercial artwork. The focus is on Dutch historical publishings, including press items from former colonies like Indonesia and Suriname.
It has regular exhibitions relating to the press.
The museum is located in the same building as the International Institute of Social History (but the entrance is on the other side of the building).
