No trains around Amsterdam

Due to technical problems, there is no train service around Amsterdam, and other main towns in the Netherlands.

For example, there are no trains between Amsterdam and the airport.

The problems are expected to last to at least 12 noon.

The Railways have not yet been able to organize replacement transport with buses. The Railways advice you do not travel, or postpone your journey.

The roads around Amsterdam are now also getting busier with traffic.

Update 10.50am:
Repairs have been made, and train services will be gradully resumed. There will be serious delays during the next few hours, possibly the rest of the day.
