The Pollux, a former navy training ship, has been restored and transformed into a cafe/restaurant.
The Pollux used to be located near the Maritime Museum (Scheepvaartmuseum), in the centre of Amsterdam.
The ship has been restored into its old splendour, and is now in use as a café / restaurant.
It is located near the former NDSM Wharf, across the IJ (the water behind the Central Station).
The restaurant has a provisional website, and reservations can be made on 020-4922848.
The restaurant is open daily, and can be reached by the (free) ferry boat that leaves behind Central Station (west side, the boat to 'NDSM werf'). From the ferry, walk left, then left again onto the pier, at the end of which the Pollux is located.
The Pollux also has 'friends club', with a website with more pictures and info (all in Dutch).
