New Year's Eve party on Amsterdam Dam Square

The tradition since the year 2000 of having a large New Year's Eve party on Dam Square in Amsterdam has been saved.

For some time, it looked like there were no sponsors for the big New Year's celebration, but at last one has been found.

The party will start at 11pm.
Therw will be a percussion performance (‘Slagerij van Kampen’), large images projected on the Royal Palace, big screens with footage about things that happened this year, and a large firework after the countdown to midnight.

As usual, tens of thousands of visitors are expected.
