Multatuli (his real name is Eduard Douwes Dekker) is a well-known 19th century Dutch writer. He became famous for denouncing the Dutch colonial activities in what is now Indonesia.
The museum is in his birth house, where various personal items are on display. There are also sometimes exhibitions.
