March in Amsterdam South commemorates Paris attacks

The Mayor of Amsterdam (Mr Eberhard van der Laan) will be present at a march in Amsterdam South today (Sunday), for the terrorist attacks in Paris.

The march was already planned as a march for immigrants, a joint initiative of a number of mosques and synagogues in Amsterdam. The original programme has been adjusted because of the attacks in Paris.

The march will start at 2.30pm, at the Al Kabir Mosque (address Weesperzijde 74-78) and end at Casa Migrante, at Van Ostadestraat 268 around 4pm.

The Mayor also announced that on Monday there will be one minute of silence at noon. The Amsterdam public transport will stop for 1 minute.
