After an extensive renovation, the main hall in the Melkweg theatre has officially been reopened.
The new hall, which is called 'the Max', can now accommodate 1,500 people, in stead of 1,000.
The Melkweg is one of the most (in)famous pop theatres in Amsterdam, located at Leidseplein square. Its name derives from the fact that the building used to be a milk factory. From 1970 it has been a theatre, attracting young crowds from all over the world.
