Large marihuana farm dismantled in Amsterdam apartment

The police has found an apartment in Amsterdam South that had been completely converted into a marihuana farm.

Almost 2,300 marihuana plants were found, which will be destroyed. Also a large quantity of equipment for growing the plants (lights etc.). A specialist team, that called the farm a large one, carried out the dismantling.
No persons have been arrested yet in the case.

In the Netherlands apartments and houses are often used for growing marihuana. As this takes a lot of electricity for light and heating, it is becoming increasingly easy for the authorities to track down the illegal farms. Approximately a 1,000 factories are found per year.
