Tomorrow afternoon (Saturday May 17) there will be a 'kiss-in' at the Homo Monument near the Westerkerk church.
The event is organized in the framework of the International Day Against Homophobia. Although a similar kiss-in was organized 3 years ago on Leidseplein, the situation for gays and lesbians has apparently not improved. The organization wants to make a statement against intolerance, and for the freedom to walk hand in hand, and live and love in freedom.
The programme:
4-5pm: Dj Lupe (soulrock) with Queer Beats
5-5.15pm: Speaker
5.15-5.45pm: Sing-Inn- With Karin Giphart and Irene Hemelaar.
5.45pm-6pm: Kiss-in on the Homo Monument
